In 1996 Links
Magazine placed this tract among the "Top 30" on the Grand Strand. It’s
known for it’s wide open pine tree lined fairways. There’s no turn after
nine on this layout, which is no problem during the spring and fall golf
seasons because their halfway houses are open and the beverage carts
operating. They’re know for their very friendly staff, but they’re also
known for sneaking their members in front of other scheduled groups.
During the off seasons golfers should make sure that the halfway house
is open and that the beverage carts are operating. Its long, and tough,
with fairway bunkers, lots of water and condos. Their best hole is No.
18 stretching along the Intracoastal Waterway. In 2003 they redid their
greens and reworked their bunkers, so this course is the better of the
two Myrtlewood courses.
