The
three nines at this 27-hole complex are the Tall Oaks, Dogwood and
Holly. Built on gently rolling terrain accented with an abundance of
oaks, pines, dogwoods and azaleas. All three of them have strategically
placed island tees and greens as well as peninsula greens. Water comes
into play on all nine holes on Tall Oaks and seven on Dogwood. This
course got very rundown due to poor management. That group folded and
the owners said that they were going to bring it back. Despite spending
$400,000, their efforts were at best feeble, so it isn’t worth anyone
else’s effort. There is a contract pending to
sell it to a developer, who is said to be planning to close the Dogwood
nine for development.
