Azalea Sands Golf Club - MBGA RATING - « This tired old girl is basically your standard municipal golf course. This 30-year old tract is pretty much the same as when it opened. It is fairly open, but there are enough trees to keep the place from feeling totally bare. There is plenty of water, but not a lot of it is actually in play. Historically, their only good point has been their Bermuda greens. However, if you’re staying nearby and are on a tight budget, or are a novice looking for a cheap course to work on your game and you can play here for $35 (or less) for green fees, cart and taxes, you might want to consider this tract. Anyone else, forget it. There’s good news and bad news here. The good news is that they are trying to close this old girl, but the bad news is that the City is screwing with the rezoning. Needless to say this is a NO PLAY!
