Dramatic, man-made elevations as high as 45-feet and consistently good greens are this tract’s best-known features. 1.5 million cubic yards of earth was moved to form The Wizard’s intriguing landscape. The plantings on the berms and mounds include over 800 species of plants, flowers, and ornamental grasses. Its wide open and features four sets of tees, elevated tee boxes, moderate bunkering, streams, a 100-acre lake, stone bridges, oriental grasses, large, relatively flat G@ Bentgrass greens and a castle for their clubhouse. There’s water on eleven holes, but it doesn’t come into play on all of them. The back nine ends with back-to-back island greens. Like its sister courses, Man O’ War and the Witch, this is one of the most unique courses in the area.
