This was the third course at St. James Plantation in Southport, North Carolina along with its sister courses the Founders Club, Members Club and the newest the Reserve Club. This layout features rolling terrain, berms, hardwood and pine forests, naturally occurring water, native vegetation, salt marshes, wetlands, conservative fairways and greens that vary in contour, undulation and sloping. Here’s another course with a terrible website!
IMPORTANT: All four St. James Plantation courses are now semi-private. Some outside play is available, but you must call the St. James courses to ascertain how to book tee times there.
Note: St. James Plantation is located in Southport, NC and has four very good golf courses – including this one - but it really is a pain to get to unless you are staying north of, or close to, the North Carolina/South Carolina Stateline.
