



Ranked No. 37 on Golf Digest’s “50 Most Diabolical Golf Courses in America,” this course is considered to be one of the strongest challenges in golf. It features large expanses of natural growth, sand, water and waste areas combined with extraordinary undulations and bulk headed areas to present a course reminiscent of the PGA West Stadium Course. This is definitely a “target golf” course. The topography rises to incredible heights on the sculpted terrain, sink to considerable depths in the bunkers, and constantly challenge every ounce of skill and luck you possess. It certainly earned its designation as one of the “Top 10 New Courses of 1990,” by Golf Digest. They completed extensive renovations, including greens, tee complexes and bunkering in 2004. Their parent company, Legends Resorts, crashed and burned in 2009 to the tune of more than $53 million. Century Golf Partners, a part of Arnold Palmer Golf Management, picked up the pieces, and have done an excellent job of maintaining the high standards the Legends was well known for, as well as becoming known for more freebies than all of the other golf operators in town combined.
Note: The condos at Legends are really getting run down, so we would look to staying elsewhere until they renovate their units!
