Currently rated No. 18 by Golf Magazine on their Best Public Golf Courses in South Carolina roster, primarily due to all of the forced carries and lost balls there is no “middle ground” with this course. Golfers either hate it (high handicappers), while others love it (low handicappers). Add to that the fact that it has gotten rather long in the tooth, and could use some reworking, especially their rather tired greens. Located on rolling land, with elevations of up to 35-feet, along the Intracoastal Waterway this occasionally “tricked-up” course features a natural terrain of lakes, live oaks, pines, magnolias, wetlands, salt marshes and river views. If you’re not a low handicapper or just a glutton for punishment this just might be the right track for you.
