This was the very first golf course designed by world-renowned golf architect Rees Jones. Arcadian Shores is a “traditional” layout with natural blend of beauty and challenge. It features big lakes, deviously placed bunkers, tree-lined fairways, Bermuda greens and distinctive contouring. It was selected by Golf Digest as one of the Top 100 Golf Courses in America three years after it opened. It is the home of the Hilton Golf Academy, and has a good practice facility that is convenient to most of the oceanfront hotels. It is on leased land and the good news is that lease expired a couple of years ago, so B&C Golf took over the operations, as Kingston Plantation, had only been performing token and cosmetic conditioning, which resulted in bumpy and spotty greens, tired bunkering and overall poorer conditions. B&C has been working hard to restore this great layout to its former stellar conditions, but their efforts have been rather spotty. Number 13 here was, in the past, consistently considered to be one of the Best Water Holes in Golf.
